Job Summary

Communicare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will provide evidence-based services to individuals in their residences or other community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining fidelity to established treatment protocols.
  • Arrange for medication evaluation, management, and monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize clinical supervision to enhance your skills and provide the highest level of care possible.
  • Manage an active caseload as directed by your supervisor, meeting all Communicare and Department of Mental Health standards and policies.
  • Document patient care and services in a timely and accurate manner, meeting productivity requirements.
  • Work efficiently in Communicare's Electronic Health Record system to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and conferences as assigned, including crisis intervention and suicide prevention training.
  • Assess home and family situations to ensure family participation in treatment and provide support as needed.
  • Collaborate with referral sources and other outside agencies to ensure continuity of care and a coordinated system of care.
  • Establish and maintain referral bases within the community to expand access to services.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree and licensure or certification in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Pass a Communicare background check and drug screen, as Communicare is a drug-free workplace.
  • Ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, work independently, and relate positively to individuals and their families.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record are required.
