Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team at Ganna Walska Lotusland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial and accounting reports, including budgeting, inventory control, and payroll reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control, and fixed assets, under the supervision of the Director of Finance.

  • Review and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Prepare and review audit schedules, and work with external auditors as required, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Assist in the development of annual operating and capital budgets, and enter budget data and adjustments into financial accounting software.

  • Maintain accurate records for all transactions affecting budget preparation, and collaborate with management teams on various accounting projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

  • At least three years of related accounting experience, including double-entry accounting, reconciliations, and understanding of the chart of accounts, trial balance, and balance sheet.

  • Non-profit experience is required.
