About the Role:

At Full Bloom, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Specialist - Special Education to join our team as a 1:1 Aide. In this role, you will work closely with students in special education and alternative education settings nationwide, providing academic, emotional, and social support to help them thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other special needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Monitor and report student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction and support.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a 1:1 aide or support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
