As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) at United Rentals, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with our team to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rental equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including work orders and maintenance schedules
  • Travel to customer job sites as required to perform repairs and maintenance on rental equipment
  • Assist with the delivery and pickup of equipment and parts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, such as heavy equipment repair or maintenance
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
