Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold Federal and State Regulations, as well as County Ordinances, including Ohio Motor Vehicle Regulations
  • Perform police patrols aimed at crime deterrence and emergency assistance
  • Examine incidents and grievances
  • Gather and secure evidence
  • Manage traffic during events and oversee public behavior
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
  • No felony or significant misdemeanor convictions
  • No record of Domestic Abuse offenses
  • Successfully complete all required tests and background evaluations
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Maintain physical fitness
Additional Requirements
  • Contribute volunteer hours as a Special Deputy
  • Acquire necessary equipment in accordance with department standards
  • Possess a current State of Ohio Basic Peace Officer Certification
