Behavioral Intervention Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at Bridgeway Academy. This critical role involves providing crisis prevention and intervention services for individuals with complex behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crisis Assessment and Intervention: Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to assess and develop treatment plans for individuals in acute crisis situations.
- Functional Analysis: Conduct comprehensive functional analyses to identify underlying causes of maladaptive behaviors and develop targeted interventions.
- Trauma-Informed Approach: Utilize a trauma-informed approach to provide sensitive and effective support to individuals who have experienced trauma.
- Supervision and Training: Provide supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to share behavior data and inform treatment planning.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with complex behavioral needs, preferably in a crisis stabilization or residential setting.
Compensation and Benefits:
