Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Electrical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, commissioning, and power distribution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing commissioning scripts, quality checks, and ensuring equipment compliance with medium voltage and de-energized equipment. They will also be required to read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams; verify drawings and equipment layouts.

This is a 12-month contract assignment with the option to extend beyond the initial assignment length. The position requires adherence to site-specific safety plans and participation in equipment and safety training for three-to-four weeks in either Houston, TX, or Warrendale, PA.

About the Role:

  • Perform commissioning, inspection, verification, and QA/QC activities on low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, and automatic transfer switches at data center construction sites.
  • Read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams; verify drawings and equipment layouts.
  • Document services by maintaining records and writing technical reports detailing fieldwork performed.
  • Complete functional tests for manual and electrically operated circuit protection devices, including local and remote breaker controls.

Requirements:

  • Understands 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment.
  • Experience with Level 1 and Level 2 data center commissioning.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identity).

Salary: $50-$55 per hour
