Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain utilities systems and equipment to ensure effective distribution of refrigeration, electrical power, CO2, air, steam, condensate, and cooling water across all departments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with utilities equipment, providing support to production teams during operational challenges.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance on ammonia and CFC systems, along with necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic team setting, gaining knowledge of complex and large-scale equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in a relevant industrial field such as HVAC, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or Predictive Maintenance.
  • Experience in Navy (Nuclear or Conventional) or Merchant Marine engine rooms is advantageous.
  • Industrial journeyman level experience in stationary engineering or heavy industrial maintenance is desirable.
  • Background as a Maintenance Technician is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and service equipment throughout the facility.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and in positions requiring agility.
  • Must obtain Haz/Mat and Confined Space Rescue certifications.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with operating machines and equipment such as pumps, compressors, steam turbines, heat exchangers, and high-speed machinery.
  • Possession of Universal CFC license, driver's license, forklift license, and bronco lift license.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, instrumentation, control systems, and high voltage switchgear.
  • Proficient in using self-contained breathing apparatus within Hazmat Level A suit.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
  • Willingness to work at heights and around hazardous materials.
