Position Summary

We are in search of enthusiastic and cooperative Full-time and Part-time ophthalmic technicians. The ideal candidate will possess a strong dedication to providing outstanding eye care and patient service. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a supportive team, experienced leadership, and advanced technology.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Conducting patient assessments, gathering medical histories, and performing specialized diagnostic evaluations.
  • Traveling to various satellite locations as needed.
  • Preparing examination and treatment areas to ensure a conducive environment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspaces, including stocking supplies and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Providing general support within the clinic.
  • Exhibiting the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume practice.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to enhance skills in assisting physicians and scribing.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Capability to read and interpret both paper and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and think logically.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of eye anatomy, medical terminology, ocular conditions, and diseases.

Confidentiality Commitment

Strict adherence to confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) is required, along with compliance with HIPAA privacy and security protocols.

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged periods of walking, sitting, bending, and stretching. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are necessary for operating office equipment. Employees must possess a normal range of hearing and vision to accurately prepare and communicate reports.

Work Environment

The role is situated within a standard office environment, requiring physical activity such as walking and lifting items up to 15 pounds.
