POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Human Resources Officer will spearhead the HR operations for Exacta Systems LLC. This role is pivotal in formulating and implementing HR strategies that align with the overarching business objectives of the organization. Key responsibilities encompass talent acquisition, employee relations, performance oversight, training initiatives, benefits administration, and the enforcement of company policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Work in partnership with senior leadership to ensure HR policies are in sync with business strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
  • Guarantee adherence to employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels across all operational sites.
  • Address employee relations matters, conduct HR investigations, and provide guidance to leadership on disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee recruitment processes for multi-state operations, ensuring a streamlined and effective hiring experience.
  • Formulate strategies and lead initiatives for talent acquisition, retention, career advancement, and succession planning.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and conduct Exit Interviews.
  • Administer compensation structures and performance evaluation systems.
  • Manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate continuous learning and professional development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions focused on HR policies, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Promote a culture of learning and skill enhancement throughout the organization.
  • Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from the database.
  • Lead efforts to boost employee satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and recognition initiatives.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the workplace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, and workers' compensation is required.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership capacity managing HR functions in a multi-state context, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR or SPHR are preferred.
  • Capability to obtain licensure as an Employee in various racing and/or gaming jurisdictions as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience in managing employee relations issues, coaching, and conducting HR investigations is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple states.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels, including the executive team.
