Job Title: Technical Support Specialist II

Stella-Jones is a leading producer of industrial pressure-treated wood products in North America. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist II to join our team in Tacoma, Washington.

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist II will provide exceptional technical assistance and training to end-users across the company. This role involves procuring hardware for the IT department, working on critical projects, and maintaining assigned equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides solutions for escalated technical issues, configurations, administration, and system performance concerns.
  • Maintains assigned equipment, software, and technical data in accordance with department policy.
  • Performs hardware research and purchasing for IT department needs.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains personal computers, networks, file servers, and other related equipment.
  • Investigates problems, identifies their source, and determines possible solutions.
  • Performs tasks associated with remote diagnostics, problem solving, installation assistance, and system modifications.
  • Develops and conducts training and instruction for system users on operating systems and other applications.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of digital information disclosed during routine support.
  • Participates as a resource for any department requiring technical advice.
  • Provides Helpdesk services, including call handling, logging, tracking, and problem resolution.
  • Participates in mandatory on-call support rotation schedule.
Technical Requirements:
  • Microsoft 365 with advanced management tools (E5) such as Intune and MDM.
  • Microsoft Teams communication for telephony, chat, and collaboration.
  • Virtual servers hosted with Azure and AWS.
  • SAP S4/HANA on RISE.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of work experience on a technical support/help desk team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS and configuration with exchange, active directory, and other enterprise applications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written technical information manuals.
