Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Patient Advocate to join our team. As a Bilingual Patient Advocate, you will play a critical role in connecting uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to serve as a liaison between patients in need, hospital facilities, and government agencies. You will be responsible for screening uninsured hospital patients to determine their eligibility for federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen patients to determine eligibility for medical assistance programs
  • Complete applications and follow through until approved
  • Document patient cases accurately and timely in our company systems and hospital systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and hospital staff
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on program requirements and regulations
  • Maintain a structured and timely contact with patients and government agencies
  • Assist patients with gathering necessary documentation and arranging transportation as needed
  • Inform patients of approval or denial of coverage in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
