Patient Service Representative

Optum Career Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Optum. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support in a collaborative office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and manage wait times to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist with intake processes, including copying required documents and collecting co-payments.
- Manage cashier boxes and daily deposits according to company policies.
- Process walk-in patients and visitors, answer phones, and schedule appointments.
- Manage medical records, including maintaining, filing, and preparing for schedules.
- Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in a timely manner.
- Process requests for medical records release and maintain appropriate logs.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or customer service-related field.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medical front office position.
- Knowledge of EMR software.
