Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Specialist to join our team at Skyline Construction. This role involves driving complex commercial construction projects to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and other industry professionals.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. They will be responsible for setting up job walks, preparing bids, coordinating building access, and tracking RFIs and submittals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and attend job walks
  • Prepare and qualify bids
  • Coordinate building access
  • Prepare meeting minutes and weekly status reports
  • Track and review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, and procurement
  • Complete project start-up and close-out documents
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project management tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of construction experience preferred
  • Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling software, BlueBeam, Procore, PlanGrid, and CAD preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read architectural/engineering plans and specifications
  • Basic knowledge of project estimating and scheduling

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. The actual salary will be carefully considered and may vary depending on various factors. This role is also eligible for additional benefits, including health, disability, and retirement benefits.
