Job OverviewAt Skyline Construction, we are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a leader in commercial interior construction, we prioritize building trust through relationships and putting people at the heart of everything we do.

In this role, you will drive complex commercial construction projects to completion, collaborating with a wide spectrum of professionals in the industry. You will use your technical skills and people skills to build your portfolio and contribute to the success of our team.

Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, you will be eligible for health, disability, life, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as a 401(k) plan matching program and unlimited PTO.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Engineer at Skyline Construction, you will:
  • Set up and attend job walks
  • Prepare and qualify bids
  • Coordinate building access
  • Prepare meeting minutes and weekly status reports
  • Track and review RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, samples, and procurement
  • Complete project start-up and close-out documents
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with daily management of construction projects

Requirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of construction experience
  • Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, BlueBeam, Procore, PlanGrid, and CAD
  • Ability to effectively present information in oral, written, and graphic form
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to read architectural/engineering plans and specifications
  • Basic knowledge of project estimating and scheduling
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt behavior to meet the needs of the project to ensure project success
