As a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering expert technical assistance for issues related to the Databricks Platform. Your role will involve resolving challenges associated with the unified analytics platform, guiding customers through their Databricks experience, and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to derive value and meet their strategic objectives using our offerings. Customers will rely on your expertise for a wide range of inquiries, from fundamental technical questions to intricate architectural challenges across the Big Data landscape. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Solutions. This position is hybrid.
Your Contributions:
- Diagnose and resolve intricate customer challenges pertaining to the Databricks platform.
- Offer best practices for custom solutions developed by Databricks clients.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing performance in client-specific environments.
- Assist with third-party integration issues within the Databricks ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering and escalation teams to ensure customer issues and requests are resolved effectively.
- Engage in the development and upkeep of company documentation and knowledge resources.
- Act as a strong advocate for customer needs.
- Enhance your expertise in AWS/Azure and the Databricks platform through ongoing learning and training initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations during weekends and weekdays.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications using Python/Java/Scala, with a strong emphasis on Python expertise.
- Proven experience with SQL-based databases is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience with Hadoop/Spark in administrative, development, or support roles is required.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
- Experience in a Distributed Big Data Computing environment.
- A technical degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

Compensation Transparency:
Databricks is dedicated to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is outlined below and represents the base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are influenced by various factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience depth, relevant certifications, and specific work location. Databricks utilizes the full width of the range based on these factors. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
Local Pay Range: $102,400 — $181,200 USD
