In this role, you will oversee and execute various tasks related to U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance, research, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts research and provides insights on international corporate income tax implications and associated U.S. effects.
  • Calculates federal, state, and international income and franchise taxes.
  • Manages and reviews multi-state S-Corp and composite returns, along with international tax filings across different jurisdictions.
  • Coordinates compliance for tax returns in various U.S. and international tax environments.
  • Researches and summarizes taxes related to international transactions, including withholding taxes, VAT, GST, and import taxes.
  • Supervises the reconciliation of state income tax accounts and various international tax accounts within the general ledger.
  • Assists in the facilitation of information for transfer pricing studies.
  • Reviews contractual tax language and provides guidance on applicable rates and tax concepts.
  • Supports the provision of information regarding U.S. R&D credits and specialized deductions.
  • Facilitates tax-related information to project teams.
  • Responds to inquiries and notices from tax authorities.
  • Assists in tax audits conducted by U.S. and international tax authorities.
  • Engages in legal entity management and related tasks.
  • Contributes to tax planning efforts aimed at minimizing exposure and risk.
  • Travel may be required as part of the role.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Supervises junior staff members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA certification. A minimum of 4 years in public accounting or 7 years of industry experience in U.S. corporate federal, state, and international tax.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Familiarity with tax issues relevant to the construction sector.
  • Understanding of S-Corp taxation and flow-through entity taxation.
  • Comprehension of cross-border transactions and their tax implications.

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to perform ordinary ambulatory skills to visit various locations, along with the capacity to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle light to medium weights ranging from 10-50 pounds. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential, including the ability to grasp and use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The role also necessitates frequent sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing.
