Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technology projects across various areas, ensuring they align with business objectives and achieve their goals.
  • Support and motivate the team to meet project milestones and deliverables in a technology-driven environment.
  • Guide projects through all stages, from planning and development to deployment and review.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress and challenges to executives and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to creating and refining best practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance the organization's technology capabilities.
  • Manage day-to-day activities and resources for technology projects, supporting planning and decision-making.
  • Share updates on milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues with leadership to keep everyone informed.
  • Collaborate with the team to handle project scope and technical needs, making adjustments as needed.
  • Help delegate tasks to ensure the right skills are used for each part of the project.
  • Work with the team to set and communicate clear success criteria for technology projects.
  • Take the initiative to drive projects forward, ensuring they progress smoothly and reach completion.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Technical Project Management experience is advantageous; we welcome applicants with varied levels of experience.
  • PMO, PMP, or Six Sigma Project Management Certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with senior leadership (Director level and above) is a plus.
  • Exposure to technology data projects (cataloging, modeling, mapping, etc.) and reporting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of BI tools is a plus but not essential.
  • Experience with managing operating budgets or project financials is beneficial.
  • Agile experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint (PowerBI a plus), and SharePoint; experience in presenting to stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence is helpful.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and spur change in a cross-functional environment.

Education

  • A degree in IT, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with diverse educational backgrounds and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
