Job Overview

Goldfish Swim School - Lexington is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School standards.
  • Assist the General Manager in achieving business objectives and fulfilling daily tasks.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee aquatics staff to provide superior swim instruction to students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Direct retail and vending departments to ensure proper product mix and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to maintain GSS standards.
  • Develop knowledge and experience in Links software for bookings, class scheduling, and administrative functions.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment through knowledge of GSS pool operations.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Direct implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and safety procedures.
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred; two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required; shallow water attendant highly recommended.
Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
