Job Summary:

Siemens Industry, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with national and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist higher-level inspectors with testing of fire pumps, wet systems, dry systems, tamper switches, water-flow devices, and hydrants.
  • Assist with inspection, testing, and service of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems; standpipes; backflow preventors; fire hydrants; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
  • Follow and maintain highly-structured inspection schedules.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to city municipality websites.
  • Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site.
  • Provide instructions to customer's personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
  • Work overtime when needed.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, and tablet
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Experience in the Fire Life Safety or Fire Protection Industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must have good customer-facing and customer-service skills
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • This position supports a Siemens customer who requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons
