Your Responsibilities
• Respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, including initial assessments of equipment/system issues.
• Communicate with customer representatives to identify and understand equipment/system malfunctions.
• Diagnose and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building safety products at client locations.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational manuals.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining consistent communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding using communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
• Obtain customer signatures upon completion of service assignments.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and assist in training or mentoring fellow service team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We Seek
Required:
• Minimum of 3 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. Familiarity with testing equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
• Willingness to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working in confined spaces.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
• Maintain truck inventory to ensure prompt response to customer needs.
• Adhere to, implement, and consistently follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
Preferred:
• NICET Level II certification is highly preferred.
