Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Health Physicist to support radiation safety and diagnostic imaging physics activities in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Gamma Knife, and PET/Cyclotron Facility. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, faculty, and staff within the University and affiliated University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with NRC, PA-DEP, TJC, and ACR regulations and requirements
  • Develop and implement radiation safety policies and procedures
  • Oversight of gamma cameras, PET scanners, mammography, and diagnostic x-ray equipment QA/QC programs
  • Provide radiation safety training and education
  • Perform radiation shielding and dosimetry calculations
  • Support an extensive radiopharmaceutical therapy program
Requirements
  • Current approval for MQSA or ability to obtain approval
  • ABR certification in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent certifications
  • Board eligible candidates will be considered
