Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive individual to take on the role of IT Controls Associate Analyst within our esteemed organization.

Key Responsibilities
This role is essential in ensuring the effective functioning of IT controls, thereby safeguarding our risk management framework and reducing the likelihood of negative audit outcomes.

The IT Controls Associate Analyst will work closely with IT partners to pinpoint, evaluate, and rectify deficiencies or vulnerabilities in the controls landscape, while promoting productive collaboration between IT and Internal Audit (IA).

Specific Duties Include:

  • Enhancing the IT controls matrix to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry benchmarks.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of IT controls, identifying opportunities for improvement through risk evaluations, control assessments, and data scrutiny.
  • Acting as a conduit between IT control proprietors and auditors to confirm control shortcomings and suggest corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to formulate and execute remediation plans, ensuring prompt resolution of identified concerns.
  • Delivering regular updates to senior leadership regarding the status of IT controls and ongoing remediation initiatives.
  • Providing direction to IT staff on control execution and documentation requirements.
  • Participating in SOX walkthroughs to understand current processes and controls, serving as a knowledge resource.
  • Supporting IT Control Owners in maintaining compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
  • Identifying, proposing, and implementing enhancements to improve control effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Staying informed about industry best practices, leading IT Controls Frameworks, and IT sector standards.
  • Driving continuous enhancement of the IT SOX Controls governance program through the creation of training materials and support mechanisms for control owners.

Additional Responsibilities
Engaging in reviews, projects, and training activities as necessary, and leading such initiatives when required.
