Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in conducting premium and customer retention forecasting analysis. This individual will be tasked with performing financial evaluations, compiling financial reports, preparing presentations, and executing various ad-hoc projects. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for reconciling actual financial outcomes against planned projections, identifying variances, and communicating findings to management to prevent delays and cost overruns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the inputs and analysis of premium factors, ensuring timely completion of all analyses.
- Generate monthly and quarterly metrics reports.
- Analyze actual financial results in comparison to forecasts and plans.
- Prepare presentation materials for executive management.
- Assist in managing expense budgets across different departments.
- Administer claim payments, premium applications, journal entries, and commission tracking.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of acquisition costs across various sources, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
- Perform ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis as directed by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft products with exposure to software such as TM1, PeopleSoft, and Power BI preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying discrepancies that require investigation and independently conducts research.
- Capable of presenting findings and recommendations clearly, both verbally and in writing.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis is required.
- Public accounting experience and/or CPA or MBA designation is advantageous.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
