About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team at Sharp Community Medical Group. As a key member of our audiology team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the auditory health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Hearing Assessments: Utilize advanced audiometric equipment to evaluate patients' hearing abilities and needs, providing a comprehensive understanding of their auditory health.
  • Provide Personalized Patient Care: Communicate with patients to gather medical history, lifestyle, and hearing concerns, offering a compassionate and understanding approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Recommend Hearing Solutions: Interpret hearing test results and determine the type and degree of hearing loss in collaboration with an audiologist or as part of a healthcare team, recommending tailored hearing aid solutions and assistive listening devices.
  • Conduct Hearing Aid Fittings and Adjustments: Ensure optimal comfort and functionality for patients by conducting hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and follow-up appointments.
  • Offer Patient Education and Support: Provide counseling and support for patients and their families, addressing any emotional or psychological aspects related to hearing loss.
  • Stay Current with Industry Advancements: Maintain knowledge of the latest advancements in hearing aid technology, accessories, and assistive devices to provide the best solutions for patients.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with audiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Promote Practice Services: Effectively communicate with patients and promote the practice's services to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in hearing science or a related field, and licensure as a Hearing Aid Dispenser in the State of California, or the ability to obtain such licensure by time of appointment.
