Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is seeking a highly skilled Speech, Hearing, and Language Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Student Services and Programs division, you will play a critical role in serving students with speech, hearing, and language impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with speech, hearing, and language impairments.
  • Conduct student assessments and provide consultation to staff and parents.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide services and evaluations to students, including those who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing or a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing.
  • Post-graduate coursework in speech, hearing development, and language disorders, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing, including those with cochlear implants.
