We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead and manage our financial operations, ensuring the organization’s fiscal stability while supporting our mission.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance:

  • Accounting Management: Establish and uphold accounting systems that comply with GAAP standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Supervise financial reporting processes and deliver monthly financial statements and forecasts.
  • Team Development: Oversee and mentor accounting personnel, ensuring their professional growth and performance.
  • Receivables Oversight: Manage accounts receivable, encompassing revenue from billable services, grants, and donations.
  • Payables Management: Direct accounts payable, prioritizing payments based on urgency and cash flow considerations.
  • Budget Preparation: Formulate and monitor organizational budgets, suggesting modifications as necessary.
  • Payroll Administration: Supervise payroll processing, guaranteeing timely and precise payments.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assess and manage cash flow, prioritizing payments and overseeing invoices.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain thorough financial records, including ledgers and financial statements.
  • Communication Facilitation: Ensure effective communication between program directors, managers, and the Board regarding financial issues.
  • Audit Coordination: Prepare documentation and collaborate with external auditors for the annual financial audit.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including contract monitoring and reporting.
  • Grant Proposals: Develop budgets for grant and contract proposals according to specified guidelines.
  • Insurance Management: Review and manage insurance policies regarding payments and coverage.
  • HUD Reporting: Prepare reports for HUD-related entities and assist in the annual HUD audit.

  • Resource Optimization: Efficiently utilize resources to meet customer expectations and support organizational objectives.

Qualifications for the Director of Finance:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and office administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in fund accounting and non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance is required.
  • A clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Current TB Clearance or TB X-Ray is needed.
