Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives
* Manage supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
* Analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
* 8+ years of experience in procurement or a related field
* Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Prior experience in the shipbuilding industry
* Lean Manufacturing Principles and Process Improvement experience
* Project based production experience
