Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to manage patient interactions and provide essential legal support within our healthcare system. This role involves ensuring accurate patient information is recorded and assisting with financial resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities outlined below are intended to reflect the general nature of the work performed by individuals in this position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance details.
  • Process payments and adjustments with precision.
  • Communicate any workflow issues to management promptly.
  • Assist patients in resolving financial obligations through payment plans or financial aid.
  • Collaborate with legal department personnel as needed.
  • Provide accurate and courteous responses to patient inquiries.
  • Follow up on accounts as per system prompts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and state and federal laws.
  • Prepare legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a relevant medical field, such as medical assisting or healthcare administration.
Experience:
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare or collections environment.
  • One year of customer service experience, particularly in handling phone inquiries.
