About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead our Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction efforts. This role will focus on identifying and resolving issues related to scrap, rework, and non-conformance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • COPQ Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, process inefficiencies, and high-cost areas related to scrap, rework, and non-conformance.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop and implement solutions that improve process reliability and reduce waste.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to identify and validate improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across disciplines including quality, engineering, TVA suppliers, and operations to implement solutions and ensure alignment on quality improvement projects.
  • Technical Reporting: Develop and present technical reports detailing COPQ performance, corrective action progress, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on COPQ reduction, scrap minimization, or process improvement.
  • Strong background in machining, coatings, or surface treatment processes, with a thorough understanding of manufacturing tolerances, material behaviors, and production constraints.
