**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer and Family Support Specialist. As a key member of our Mental Health Recovery Division, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and their families in achieving their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to individuals and their families, helping them to set and pursue personally meaningful wellness goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with our integrated team to promote mutual support and a recovery-based model of care.
- Assist individuals in developing effective coping strategies and interacting with them in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of their unique experiences and challenges.
- Work closely with our Program Director, Direct Care staff, and Employment Specialists to support individuals in achieving their vocational development objectives.
- Complete thorough documentation and service notes to record and measure individual recovery progress.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BA in a related field preferred.
- Must be a Certified Peer Specialist, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, or meet the Family Partner specifications as required by Community Service Agencies.
- Comfortable using personal recovery narrative to support individuals.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
