Overview

The Comprehensive Banking Specialist plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by thoroughly understanding client needs and providing a full spectrum of retail banking solutions. This position aligns with the organization's business model, vision, mission, core values, and behaviors.

In this capacity, the Comprehensive Banking Specialist is responsible for executing sales, service, and operational tasks while implementing Renasant's customer engagement strategy. This role emphasizes engagement throughout every customer interaction, from routine transactions to financial advisory services, while promoting digital conveniences across various channels.


Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance customer satisfaction in a branch setting by implementing the bank's customer engagement strategy, fostering relationships, educating clients on products and services, and providing suitable financial solutions.
  • Achieve sales and service performance targets by cultivating new and existing customer relationships, offering a diverse range of banking solutions, and enhancing customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure a cohesive customer experience that meets financial needs through lending, wealth management, treasury solutions, and other services.
  • Promote digital solutions in the branch, ensuring customers have access to the conveniences they expect when conducting business.
  • Actively respond to customer feedback with urgency, identifying root causes of concerns and suggesting improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all transactions to minimize exceptions and maintain a thorough customer pipeline.
  • Perform daily teller duties, including processing transactions, managing special tasks, and executing operational procedures.
  • Safeguard the bank from unnecessary risks by adhering to all procedures related to compliance and fraud prevention.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of customer information in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Engage with community organizations to enhance the bank's outreach and build relationships for future business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about all bank products, services, policies, and procedures to effectively assist customers and perform branch operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant customer service and sales experience required.
  • Preferred experience includes at least 1 year in teller or cash handling roles.
  • Strong commitment to achieving sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven track record of accuracy in transaction handling.
  • Proficient in using various technology software for transaction processing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Aptitude for understanding and applying relevant regulations and policies.
  • Willingness to travel for training and development opportunities.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role require the employee to stand or sit frequently, use hands to handle objects, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.
