Segers Aero Corporation is seeking a dedicated Stockroom Specialist to become a vital part of our operational team. We provide a comprehensive benefits package and a unique work schedule that includes every other Friday off.
Position Objective: To effectively manage and oversee inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and fulfill pick tickets for work orders or sales, as well as manage incoming inventory.
- Organize and restock parts returned to inventory.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of inventory shelves.
- Timely fulfillment of inventory pick tickets.
- Handle the processing of new inventory items.
- Coordinate the placement of new and reworked parts in their designated locations.
- Ensure all incoming inventory is properly stored or allocated to the correct work orders by day’s end.
- Account for all items leaving the inventory area.
- Manage SAC work projects both physically and within the ERP system.
- Assemble and maintain kits, ensuring they meet minimum stock levels.
- Order necessary parts for kit assembly.
- Build kits promptly to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Verify that all kits contain the correct quantities and types of parts.
- Request purchases for low or out-of-stock items.
- Utilize a forklift to move inventory as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace, free from hazards.
- Conduct cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with management to suggest improvements in equipment use and production methods.
- Participate in all required safety and health training.
- Adhere to the company’s attendance policy and work overtime as necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and personal protective equipment guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in problem-solving and applying common sense in various situations.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with company-specific software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Compliance with OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Good vision and hearing to monitor equipment and surroundings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Verification of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in inventory management or distribution is required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or MRO environment is advantageous.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is necessary.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
