Your Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage daily patient flow while serving as a liaison between Providers and patients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Effectively communicate clinical messages, relaying vital information between Providers and patients.
  • Prepare and maintain exam, procedure, and recovery rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization before and after patient visits.
  • Measure and document patients' vital signs, noting any significant changes or concerns.
  • Complete patient chart documentation by gathering diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, pathology reports), reviewing medications, noting allergies, and recording Providers' orders and prescriptions.
  • Provide patients with essential discharge and follow-up instructions, educational materials, and dietary guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and training.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program is preferred, or a minimum of two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience in a specialty practice.
  • Familiarity with EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems and technologies.
