Position Summary:
We are in search of a Vice President of Sales Enablement who possesses a strategic vision for developing and empowering a premier Sales organization. This global leader will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales Engineering and Go-to-Market Programs, overseeing the design and implementation of sales enablement initiatives for our worldwide sales team, while also managing the sales enablement team.
The primary focus of this role is to collaborate across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Product Management, and Operations to create a structured approach aimed at enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and performance of the global sales organization. This position will work cross-functionally to develop supporting materials and programs that enable the sales force to engage in consistent, effective, and compelling sales dialogues with prospects and clients throughout the sales cycle. Responsibilities encompass creating content and enabling all Sales teams at Ping Identity, which includes Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Sales Development Representatives, Channel Alliance Managers, while also influencing and collaborating with Marketing, Post Sales, Partner Enablement, and Product teams.
Our Enablement organization is a significant global entity, covering AMER, EMEA, and APJ, responsible for Field Enablement, Technical Enablement, Partner Sales Enablement, and Business Value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Global Sales Enablement programs, managing the rollout, adoption, and knowledge transfer of best practices on leveraging essential sales messages and tools throughout the sales cycle.
- Utilize modern professional learning and development methodologies to instill knowledge and skills within a diverse and distributed team.
- Develop and execute Key Sales plays and campaigns across various sales teams, ensuring effective coordination and execution to function as a cohesive sales unit.
- Create a knowledge management system for collecting and managing customer-specific deal information for Sales.
- Collaborate with Sales Management to design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training tailored for sales roles, while also supporting other functions.
- Plan and execute the annual Sales and Marketing kickoff event.
- Act as a liaison among Sales, Services, Product, Marketing, and Sales Operations teams.
- Monitor and maintain effectiveness reporting, measuring tool usage to provide insights on business impact, improvement areas, and future initiatives.
- Regularly utilize and update tools to track sales productivity, establishing metrics and objectives for sales enablement.
- Work jointly with marketing on competitive analysis.
- Oversee global partner enablement, including the design and execution of partner-specific sales training activities.
- Track and assess the level of partner sales and technical product understanding.
- Guide and develop team members through coaching, performance enhancement, and development planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in Sales Operations, Sales Training/Development, or Field Sales Enablement within a rapidly growing global software organization.
- At least 5 years of experience managing and leading a global team.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Proven capability to operate in a cross-functional, matrix-oriented, multinational environment.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced setting that demands strategic thinking, resourcefulness, results-driven decision-making, and a commitment to excellence.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Sales Enablement Productivity Software.
