Job Overview

TRG is in search of a qualified Program Support Specialist to offer programmatic assistance to the Military to Civilian Transition Office (MCTO).

The Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO) necessitates comprehensive research, analysis, evaluations, product creation, document preparation, strategic recommendations, coordination, synchronization, and analytical support services for Service members as they navigate their next life phase—whether that involves pursuing vocational training, higher education, securing employment in various sectors, or establishing their own enterprises; as well as for Reserve Component (RC) members and their families adapting to pre- and post-activation, mobilization, or deployment. MCTO develops cohesive, modular, outcome-oriented training, events, and courses designed to enhance and standardize the opportunities, services, and training available to support transitioning Service members and members of the National Guard and Reserve, along with their families and communities globally.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities may be carried out at the customer facility, at TRG's headquarters, or remotely.

Security Clearance: Candidates must meet the necessary adjudication standards to maintain a critical non-sensitive position.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required within the continental United States.

Core Working Hours: Standard hours for the DC location are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate support for service and inter-agency partner meetings, whether in-person or virtual, to achieve TAP policy and program objectives.
  • Assist in organizing administrative and logistical tasks, including the preparation of detailed minutes, presentations, summaries, and other documentation.
  • Contribute to the development, coordination, and execution of approximately forty minor projects monthly, which encompass meeting organization, topic development, briefings, information papers, and action plans.
  • Engage in both major and minor projects related to DoD and Interagency TAP, Skill Bridge, Troops to Teachers, Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program, and congressional reporting and inquiries.
  • Complete GAO reports and responses, manage programs, oversee client relations, conduct evaluations, ensure compliance, develop training materials, and create strategic plans and communications, while adhering to relevant regulations and laws.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required: A Bachelor's degree in fields such as education, social sciences, demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, political science, public administration, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Local Military Veterans.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with the Military to Civilian Transition Office (MCTO).
  • Experience in analyzing and advising on strategic plans, operations, and organizational impacts, along with the ability to present information through briefs, presentations, and reports.
  • Proficient in coordinating, consolidating, tracking, and monitoring organizational tasks.
