Job Summary

Compass Group Careers: Executive Chef Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for our staff. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement regular and modified menus that meet established guidelines and standards.
  • Culinary Leadership: Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, ensuring compliance with Company and regulatory standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of food and non-food supplies, ensuring that necessary products are available when needed.
  • Quality Control: Taste and inspect completed meals to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that kitchen staff follows and completes cleaning and maintenance schedules, and complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Culinary Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary Experience: 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
  • Catering Experience: Extensive catering experience a plus.
  • Food Service Operations: High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet.
