Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Internal Auditor to join our team at Swift Staffing. The successful candidate will assist in the accounting transactions for federally funded projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the on-boarding of new federally funded projects and respond to necessary accounting transactions.
  • Prepare modification requests to the Federal Highway Administration to adjust budgets on grants that have exceeded their original budget.
  • Assist in identifying projects/grants with overruns and determine if journal entries are needed to allow for additional billing.
  • Contribute to maintaining our less than 2% inactive rate for Federal Highway projects.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of financial construction accounting or auditing experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel skills, along with a typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to work from 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday with a 30-minute non-paid lunch on site.
  • Pass a background check and drug test.
