Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial services to senior management and reports to Financial Planning and Analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including journal entries and subsidiary accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare trial balance and financial statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit work papers and inquiries from external auditors.
  • Prepare complex financial reports and analyses, including spreadsheets and data visualization.
  • Manage accounting for fixed assets, including purchases, sales, and depreciation.
  • Perform other duties as may be requested by supervisor, including process improvements and best practice sharing.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' prior work experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to effect process improvements and supervise and motivate accounting staff.
  • Sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent financial systems skills, including experience with business intelligence software.
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
