SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - PRECAST CONCRETE

A highly regarded and leading manufacturer in the precast concrete sector is seeking a Senior Design/Structural Engineer to enhance their innovative team. The selected candidate will oversee the design of intricate projects while managing the engineering phase, collaborating closely with Project Management, Division, Engineering, the design team, and the General Contractor. Additionally, this role may involve mentoring junior engineers to ensure the successful completion of project tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish project timelines for the engineering department.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and motivation to team members to foster professional growth.
  • Generate designs and technical drawings for the precast concrete systems based on construction documents.
  • Manage the design and drafting processes for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Collaborate with sales, estimating, project management, and operations, as well as clients, to create comprehensive engineering packages. This includes preparing submittals, securing design approvals, supplying fabrication details to the plant, and addressing any arising conflicts or inquiries.
  • Assist the Sales Department by offering technical support.
  • Ensure that field inspections are conducted on projects, including the preparation of Observation Reports and the management of field repairs.
  • Work alongside the Engineering Manager to produce monthly revenue reports and assess costs as necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in software applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and other Precast/Prestress Design tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri, or eligible for licensure through reciprocity.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in structural/precast concrete engineering.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
