The Co-Manufacturing Sales and Business Manager is tasked with overseeing and enhancing our co-manufacturing operations by cultivating robust relationships with clients, pinpointing new business prospects, and propelling sales advancement. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the co-manufacturing sector, a solid history in sales, and the capability to formulate and implement strategic sales initiatives. This role will primarily cater to variety packing clients but will also provide support for Co-Manufacturing sales across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Formulation: Design and execute a detailed sales strategy for co-manufacturing and variety packing services, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
  • Business Expansion: Seek and engage new business avenues within the co-manufacturing domain, thereby increasing the company's clientele and market presence.
  • Client Relationship Development: Establish and nurture enduring relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Contract Management: Spearhead negotiations for co-manufacturing contracts, securing advantageous terms for the company while fulfilling client requirements.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal departments, including production and supply chain, to guarantee the smooth execution of co-manufacturing projects.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to remain updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and new opportunities in co-manufacturing.
  • Sales Analytics: Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Client Support: Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the manufacturing or co-manufacturing field, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the co-manufacturing process and market.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in developing and executing strategic sales plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds; capable of crouching, reaching, and grasping; able to sit in a vehicle or at a computer for extended periods.
