This role is essential for the effective delivery of community services and support programs.
Position Title: Community Programs Liaison
Annual Salary: $54,000 with Full State Employee Benefits
Occasional travel is required. A valid driver's license and maintained car insurance are necessary.
This position allows for hybrid work arrangements, with in-person training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree coupled with three years of relevant professional experience in fields such as social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood education, nursing, public administration, or related areas;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of relevant experience for each year of required education.
*Professional experience must be the primary responsibility of the role to qualify. Incidental work in any of the mentioned areas will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Objective:
Under supervision, this position serves as a vital link between the state office and local agencies, ensuring effective service delivery and program evaluation within designated areas.
Typical Duties Include:
- Ensuring accurate interpretation and consistent application of policies and regulations; conducting assessments and audits to evaluate local agency performance and program effectiveness.
- Facilitating staff meetings and training sessions to communicate program updates and procedural changes.
- Providing professional consultation to local officials regarding program needs and challenges, offering guidance to enhance management practices.
- Conducting regular visits to local agencies to ensure compliance with policies and regulations pertaining to community service programs.
- Reviewing documentation and observing local staff activities to assess the quality of service delivery.
- Continuously analyzing administrative and programmatic operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and recommendations regarding local program status, and presenting findings to the state office as necessary.
- Making recommendations for the development and implementation of policies and procedures at the local level.
- Participating in meetings, seminars, and conferences as required, and performing other related duties as assigned.
- Monitoring grants associated with community service programs through contract oversight of local agencies.
- Working collaboratively with a diverse team and engaging with individuals from various backgrounds.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs for equipment transport.
Stable and reliable home internet is required for telework.
This position is part of the Oklahoma Civil Service.
