Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse Resident to join our team in the General Medicine department. As a Registered Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and developing your clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the General Medicine department, working closely with a success coach to establish and revise priorities for patient care.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs, focusing on developing clinical skills and knowledge.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Document patient information in medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
