Job Title: Electrical Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: On-site required

Overview:

The primary role of an Electrical Quality Assurance Engineer involves researching and evaluating the design, functionality, and maintenance of electrical products, systems, and processes, while establishing quality benchmarks. A proficient quality engineer possesses the skills to interpret technical drawings and assess product integrity and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops sampling methodologies and creates forms and guidelines for documenting, assessing, and reporting quality and reliability metrics.
  • Implements programs to assess the precision and accuracy of production machinery and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment.
  • May produce training materials and facilitate training sessions focused on quality assurance practices.
  • May focus on specific areas of quality assurance engineering, including design, incoming materials, process control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory management, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative applications.
  • Supervises personnel engaged in measuring and testing products, compiling data related to materials, products, or process quality and reliability.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.

Position's Impact:

This role is crucial as our electrical product line is expanding rapidly, and we are in a significant phase of development and deployment. The individual will assume responsibilities from the current service engineer, focusing on electrical systems and providing on-site support for dealers implementing these systems.

Typical Work Environment:

The position primarily operates in a technical center, with occasional travel required for customer support. The work environment is office-based with potential exposure to surface mining operations.

Technical Proficiencies:

Required:

  • Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and CAN systems.
  • Familiarity with computer software and operating systems, including Windows and Ubuntu.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).

Soft Skills:

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and customer service orientation.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability and situational awareness are crucial.

Desired:

  • Mentoring skills to provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals who may have limited English proficiency.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French) is a plus.
