CCN is dedicated to developing innovative models and conceptual frameworks that enhance our understanding of brain functionality in both healthy and diseased states. By employing a systems neuroscience perspective, CCN constructs models that are driven by core principles, informed by the characteristics of neural circuits, and that yield insights into perception, cognition, and behavior. This interdisciplinary strategy not only fosters the design of new model-driven scientific experiments but also encapsulates existing functional descriptions of the brain, which can catalyze the creation of new engineered computational systems, particularly in the field of machine learning.
