Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Complete assignments with specified objectives, requiring the investigation of many variables.
  • Perform architectural assignments with instruction from the Project Architect or Project Manager regarding the expected results.
  • Work with the assistance of Project Architects, other Architects, or Technicians as needed.
  • Follow instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • Perform architectural assignments with direction, but without immediate supervision, and with limited design responsibility.
  • Recommend and select procedures.
  • Write reports and specifications covering architectural matters.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Take responsibility for phases of individual revenue-producing projects as needed.
  • Be open to travel, domestic and international, for site observation.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Registered Architect (USA - CA preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the areas of civic, federal, municipal, utility infrastructure, data center, and industrial facilities.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max but not required.
  • Rhino and Grasshopper experience.
