About the Role:

Victoria Legal Aid is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the efficient functioning of five regional offices in the North catchment. Reporting to the Regional Associate Director, North, you will manage administrative functions and improve service delivery across these locations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate regional operations, aligning them with VLA's strategic goals and driving service improvements.
  • Manage key projects and oversee built environment projects to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative systems and processes to support the delivery of services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, clients, and community partners.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A strong background in coordinating operational and strategic initiatives, ideally within a legal or similarly complex environment.
  • The ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights to solve problems and improve service delivery.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing administrative and support services, particularly within a legal practice or related field.
  • A deep understanding of social justice issues, with a demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities within the justice system.
