Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee the coordination and completion of preventive and predictive maintenance. This role involves overseeing all aspects of MEP, VTE, and Fire Life Safety projects, maintenance, and compliance. The successful candidate will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of team performance. They will also coordinate directly with subcontractors, vendors, and 3rd party inspection agencies as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
  • Oversee the administration, scheduling, and coordination of a workforce for maintenance of government buildings.
  • Ensure that employees responsible for performing/approving work possess up-to-date licenses and certifications as required by the District of Columbia.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hands-on installations of Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Sprinkler systems.
  • Knowledge of Boilers/Steam, Water Treatment, BAS/BMS Controls, Elevator Operations, Wet & Dry Fire Suppression Systems, and Generator/ATS/UPS – Critical Power.
