Role Objective:
The Lead Financial Strategist, FP&A will collaborate with a dedicated team responsible for forecasting both short-term and long-term financial requirements to support the Company’s growth and profitability objectives. This position involves engaging with department managers to comprehend their specific needs, enabling the team to deliver favorable operational outcomes and enhance the Finance department's forecasting accuracy. The role requires project leadership and the ability to influence results by maintaining a comprehensive perspective and a solid understanding of the underlying data. You will be part of a team of driven professionals committed to providing high-quality insights that support the Company’s strategic decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree is essential; MBA is highly desirable.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibilities in SaaS-focused organizations.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong financial modeling skills; experience with Adaptive Planning is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of delivering impactful project outcomes through both individual and team efforts, as well as influencing others without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and regular forecasts.
- Monitor and manage SaaS KPIs and create BI dashboards.
- Analyze projects that focus on the Company’s strategic initiatives.
- Construct intricate financial models, identify critical issues, communicate findings, and suggest alternatives to management in a clear manner.
- Engage with staff at all levels while acting as a consultant to business stakeholders.
- Support executive leadership by delivering timely ad hoc reports on essential matters.
- Proactively assess data to uncover opportunities for enhancements and best practices.
- Assist in the design, analysis, presentation, calculations, and reporting of commission plans.
- Support M&A and capital raising due diligence when necessary.
Skills & Work Style:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working on a range of projects from strategic initiatives to detailed analyses.
- Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods with occasional walking and/or standing.
- Ability to work in a home or office setting.
- This role requires minimal travel for training and meetings, estimated at 5-10%.
- This is a full-time position.
- The position is remote within the U.S. when not traveling.
