Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Coordinator to support the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program at Wake Forest University. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Director and faculty, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the program's administrative functions, including scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate program events, meetings, and activities, ensuring seamless execution and follow-through.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including program inventory, classroom usage, and financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the program and its initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the program's goals and objectives are met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and ArcGIS.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, scheduled for 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will work on campus and participate in the academic and intellectual life of the university.
